Wizkid tops Billboard end of the year rankings

Wizkid stays at the top of each Billboard ranking of artistes, songs and albums for the end of 2022.

Wizkid is the highest ranking African artiste on Billboard’s World Album year-end chart; the singer occupies the no. 2 position with his previous body of work, Made in Lagos. Burna Boy’s Love, Damini is ranked 8th.

Rollingstone also ranked Wizkid’s new project, More Love, Less Ego, 26th on the Best Album of the Year listing. Asake’s debut, Mr Money With The Vibe, is 39th, several spots behind Wizkid’s project.

On the World Artistes ranking, Billboard ranked Wizkid 7th with Essence feat. Tems & Justin Bieber announced as the no. 1 Afrobeats Song of 2022 on the Billboard.

Wizkid’s Essence feat. Tems & Justin Bieber charts at 64th on Billboard Hot 100 year-end chart. Appearing on the same chart in 2021 and now 2022, Essence is the first African song to reach this milestone.
