Victony holds first Lagos concert, narrates how he went broke

Victony, for the first time in his novel career, headlined a show in the city of Lagos.

The concert took place on November 28th, 2022. Fans were particularly thrilled by Victony’s consideration of his fans in his ticket sales. The singer put his tickets out for a sum of 3 thousand Naira and this shocked a lot of fans who praised him.

Shortly before his show in Lagos last night, Victony, in an emotional tweet, flashed back on his career and how difficult it was to reach the “heights” he is currently.

Few weeks ago, the singer was in the United Kingdom to support Fireboy at his concert. He had met British singer, Ed Sheeran, in the process. This link-up suggested there is a forthcoming collaboration between the two as Victony looks to be the third Nigerian to feature Ed Sheeran after Burna Boy and Fireboy.

Victony narrated how he went broke 7 months after the release of Outlaws, his debut extended playlist. He wrote on Twitter:

Touching these heights 7 months after the EP dropped is so inspiring. Putting it together, creating a unique sound scape with the mixing and mastering; executing the ideas for the creative direction visually (arts, videos); took a lot. Shot videos that never dropped; I went broke.

The singer who was counting his blessings acknowledged the men behind the scenes of his success. He said further:

We’re here now! It was all worth it. Shouts to the team: @KVLTWRLD, @PlugNG & Ktizo, for stressing with me. Big shouts to @Tempoe_ , and to all Outlaws. Can’t take your love for granted. Big steps ahead! ✝️💟
