Tems addresses the Tiwa Savage comparisons

In a long rant written as a sequence of internet posts, Tems addressed rival fans comparing her to Tiwa Savage.

Earlier today, Tems appeared on the front page of the Dazed magazine and went on to stun fans with series of graceful poses in some very much revealing outfits.

Subsequently, Tems questioned fans’ expectations of her as it appeared many of them chastised her for her appearance in the outfits captured on Dazed. In a long rant, Tems who was having none of it wrote:

I don’t know who needs to hear this but I am not your Christian saviour. I didn’t come here to uphold your beliefs about God. I will not fit into this box you try to put me in. I won’t satisfy you in that area, please find the person that will.
Or ask yourself why you care.

Since the spark in her exploits in 2022, numerous discourses and arguments have ensued about who is the queen of Afrobeats, with a huge number of users disrespecting Tiwa Savage with comparisons built on the basis of awards and global reach. Tems seemed to address those who do not rate her in the conversation here:

I don’t brag because I’m not playing the same game. I don’t need to brag, I am who I am whether you know it or not. It is the house that is built on the solid rock that will withstand the storm. I’m trying to impress myself, not you.

Tems also would not forget to recount the process of growth she subjected herself to since her career officially began in 2018. About that, she stated:

So much growth this year. I’m here for my fans. I have worked so much on myself. It will all make sense when it happens. I started in 2018. Look at what music looks like today. Still Next level coming. I’m just about to start.

Thank God for great counsel. Thank God for good health and growth. Not many can take out time even if they wanted to. They’re doing it cuz they have to. We Thank God. The foundation has been set.
