THE BIGGEST (named after SIMONY’s nickname ‘THE BIG THING’)

In 2018, at the age of 18, SIMONY contested in a music competition that took place on Radio I, Ibadan, Oyo State, performing the song Sade by Adekunle Gold; the singer came second amongst 3 contestants. The outcome of the said competition occasioned SIMONY to quit football for his decision of pursuing a career in music. The singer, till date, never regretted his decision.

SIMONY, afterwards, saw the need to attend music training, vocal training and artiste development programs. All these activities helped SIMONY to develop his versatility in singing, rapping and songwriting.

SIMONY’s sound, through his lyrics, is reflective of reality, pain and love. The singer always claims that “pain built me”. He had to put those pains, depression and hurt into writing, notes and poems which he then turned to the lyrics of his songs. SIMONY is versatile and can partake in any given genre but he majors basically on Pop, Hip Hop, R&B, Trap and Drill. SIMONY also does a bit of Afrobeats because he feels the need to propagate the African Music Culture.

SIMONY is an independent artiste, presently 22 years of age. He got inspired by lots of Nigerian and foreign artistes like Dj Cuppy, Eminem, 2face Idibia, Adekunle Gold, Davido, Wizkid, Burna Boy, Fireboy, NF, Sia, Ed Sheeran, Adele, Passenger, Sam Smith, Little Mix, Pentatonix and a lot more.

For branding and more personal reasons, SIMONY is masked. He prefers wearing a black mask and concealing his identity.

After scaling through some certain life hurdles miraculously, SIMONY decided he is THE BIG THING, symbolically represented with the πŸ•ŠοΈ dove which is peace and the βš”οΈ two edged sword which is mercilessness. The two symbols are sometimes written as πŸ•ŠοΈε€§δΊ‹βš”οΈ. These are SIMONY’s trademark and brand. You either choose between peace and war β€” this is what the dove and sword trademark implies. SIMONY is THE BIG THING!
