SIMONY Echoes The Tiredness of Every Dreamer on Unstoppable

Heavy lies the head that wears the crown. However, the heaviness noted in this cliche is not only associated with royalty as SIMONY, a representation of every big dreamer, reveals that the “feet” of a dreamer is even heavier. Dreams for the rapper known as SIMONY automatically makes him isolatory, he recognizes this and screams “I’m a loner”.

Two things are associated with the pursuit of a better life, especially in Nigeria. The first is the tiredness associated with this depressing situation. You must work “tirelessly”, yet, success is not guaranteed. This results into lack of motivation to continue. The second characteristic of dream pursuit is the thought that success is close: it is prominent in SIMONY’s reminding himself “I must be brave”. As a dreamer, you are your own only motivator.

This self-motivation gives birth to the title of this song, Unstoppable. SIMONY uses himself to sell the inference that one must be believing of self enough to recognize the need to keep pushing even when the feet are weary. It also prescribes the idea that one is the enemy of oneself in the pursuit of dreams: if you do not stop yourself, nobody else can stop you regardless of how hard they try. This is optimism and positivity of the mind which plays a vital role in keeping the mind focused on the task ahead. This is psychology! This is SIMONY’s cover of Sia’s Unstoppable!
