Portable escapes shootings in Italy, warns Nigerian artistes about Italy-based Nigerian show promoters

Portable has stirred reaction on the internet moments after he openly called out Nigerian show promoters in Italy.

In a long rant uploaded on his Instagram handle, Portable recounted his recent adventures with some Nigerian based show promoters named Blessed Entertainment and Alex Jeffizy respectively. Portable had just arrived Marco Polo, Italy all the way from his concluded outing in Dusseldorf, Germany on Saturday, 29th October, 2022.

The controversial Nigerian singer who has successfully had eight different shows across Europe recently, was picked up by the accused promoters last Saturday for another show in Italy, Padova, as stated. After several issues regarding payment and accomodation, Portable, in the company of his manager, finally got an hotel of his choice to settle in, but the promoters who refused to pay his transport fare from the airport, objected to it.

The show which was meant to kick off in the night was postponed till 4 AM, after seeking Portable’s approval, due to the fact that the singer has not received the balance of his pay. According to Portable, in a lengthy press statement published on Instagram, the promoters claimed they could not afford to balance him except if they sell more drinks till 4 AM.

Portable who was waiting in his hotel for the time to lapse was suddenly approached by the show promoters around 3.30 AM. He and his manager left with them for the venue only to discover, few distance away from the show venue, that shooting was ongoing at the moment. Portable, ordering the driver to stop, then refused to enter the venue.

Portable, in a video he made capturing one of the show promoters and cursing the promoter to his face, assured the promoters that whatever money paid to him for the show will not be refunded. He stated that there was no security details in check to protect him, and also, there is no way he was going to perform at 5 AM in the morning after the so called threat to his life at the venue. He also mentioned how the promoters and their gangs extorted him when he refused to enter the venue. In his words, Portable wrote the following to warn Nigerians dealing with show promoters in Italy:

Italy promoters are not real promoters but scammers and lame people. Prostitute ladies claiming to be promoters and uncivilized men who took boats to Europe claiming to be promoters. I warn every Nigerian artiste to abstain from any Nigerian Italy-based promoter.

I had a successful show in Tahoe, Parma in the previous week but the Padova promoters turned to be inexperienced, inadequate, unprofessional, unscrupulous and disreputable.
