Tems on the other hand recorded three nominations in the following categories; Best Rap Song Best Melodic Rap Song and Best Album of the Year; this brings her career total to 4 Grammy nods.

Tems contribution on Future’s Wait For U alongside Drake is up against the following songs in the Best Rap Song category: Churchill Downs, God Did, The Heart Part 5 and Pushin P while she contends with DJ Khaled’s Beautiful, Jack Harlow’s First Class, Kendrick Lamar’s Die Hard and Latto’s Big Energy in the Best Melodic Rap Song category.

Beyonce’s nomination in the Album of the Year category also means Tems is entitled to a Grammy award in that category if Beyonce ends up winning it. Tems is credited as a songwriter on Move, the track 10 of Beyonce’s Grammy nominated Renaissance album.

According to the Grammys rule for that category, “all credited artists (including featured artists), songwriters of new material, producers, recording engineers, mixers, and mastering engineers are eligible to be GRAMMY nominees and recipients in the Album Of The Year category.”

The Grammy nominations which were announced on Tuesday, 15th November, 2022, saw Beyonce tie with Jay Z, her husband, as the most Grammy nominated artistes in the history of the prestigious award. Both artistes have 88 nods each. Beyonce bagged the most nod with 9 at the 65th Grammy nominations announced today while Jay Z ended up with 5 nominations.
